Nelsons go to the ocean. 8-10/8-11-07

This weekend we visited the ocean here in WA. (Ocean Shores) We left Thursday afternoon and came back Saturday afternoon. It was expected to be partly cloudy (when is it not?) but we were pleasantly blessed with with nearly cloudless skies and 69 degrees. (warm!)
We played in the sand, flew kites, went on walks, camped, roasted marshmallows and a ton of other things. We had a fantastic time. Henry found a dozen crab claws and stuck them in the sand in weird little formations. The only thing that ever sticks in Herny's brain about camping is marshmallows! So we ate lots.We all came back very tired but I believe we created a wonderful family memory and hopefully taught the children a little bit about this great world of ours.

Outdoor Nuts

We Love being outdoors, whether it's hiking, or camping, or yard work, or what-not.
When you live in Seattle you have to appreciate every dry moment! (and some wet ones too)
